A 26-year-old motorcyclist died today after he was hit by a car and then run over by a truck coming from behind in southwest Delhi's Kadipur village.
The incident occurred around 1.30 PM near Kadipur village bus stop, police said.
Manish was on his motorcycle when a Santro car hit his bike and he was run over by a truck, a senior police officer said.
"The deceased was carrying a helmet but it seems he wasn't wearing it. The helmet didn't have scratch marks. This fact is under investigation," he added.
The post-mortem was conducted and the body was later handed over to the family members for last rites.
"The car and the truck have been seized. The accused have been identified and will be arrested soon. Manish worked as a teacher in Ujawa Government School and is survived by his wife and daughter," said the officer.
