The Haryana government has removed the upper limit of 60 kilometres distance for bus passes for students in the state.

This was stated by Transport Minister Krishan Lal Panwar after inaugurating a bus stand at Barwala in Panchkula district today.

He said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved a proposal to allow students to get passes issued for any destination without limit on distance.

"The Haryana State Transport is already providing free travel facilities to girl students of all colleges and universities in the state," he said in an official release issued here.

He said 108 buses would operate from the new bus stand at Barwala, including 80 of Haryana State Transport, two of Chandigarh Transport Undertaking and 26 private buses.
