Passengers of a Mass Rapid Transport System train plying between Velachery and Beach had a narrow escape when a coach jumped off the tracks near here today.
However, there were no casualties in the incident, claimed to be the first on the elevated corridor.
"The incident occurred this afternoon somewhere near the Light House Railway station. We are yet to ascertain the details. Officials are inspecting the spot," a senior Railway official told PTI.
He said a Committee has been formed to identify the cause of the incident.
