Select edible oil prices fell by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to muted demand from retailers.
Castor oil, in the non-edible section, also traded lower on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against sufficient stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions mainly kept pressure on select edible oil prices.

In the national capital, Sesame mill delivery oil lost Rs 100 at Rs 7,500 per quintal.
Mustard expeller (Dadri) oil also eased by Rs 50 to Rs 8,800 per quintal. Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils followed suit and traded lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 1,450-1,500 and Rs 1,500-1,600 per tin respectively.
Among non-edible oils, castor shed Rs 50 at Rs 9,500-9,600 per quintal.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 9,100, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,700-1,800, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,800, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,450-1,500, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,500-1,600, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 7,500, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,600, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,150, Cotton seed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,850, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,300, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,250 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 1,900-1,950.
