N Ram, veteran
journalist and former Editor-in-Chief of The Hindu, has been selected for the N Ramachandran Foundation award for his outstanding contribution to journalism.
The award is instituted in memory of eminent Malayalam journalist N Ramachandran, who died earlier this year.
According to a Foundation release, the award carries a purse of Rs 50,000, a citation and plaque.
The award will be presented to Ram by former Chief Justice of India M N Venkatachaliah at a function here on November 25.
