Nashik: three sports officers arrested while taking bribe

Anti Corruption Bureau department today caught district sports officer Nanda Gajanan Khurpude and sports officers Prabhavati Tulshiram Devre and B R Jadhav while accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000.

The G S Devkar Vidyalaya at Vidrel in Dhule district had applied to the administration for a grant of Rs 3.5 lakh to purchase some exercise instruments, etc.

According to the school authorities, Khurpude and other two officers demanded ten percent bribe to hand over the cheque of the amount.

ACB laid a trap and caught the three red-handed at DSO's office, it said.
