A National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) delegation met Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today and discussed issues relating to connectivity and infrastructure development, especially in border areas of Assam.
Led by its chairman Shyam Saran, the delegation discussed with Gogoi various issues relating to improving connectivity and development of infrastructure, official sources said.
Gogoi said his government has focused on developing the infrastructure in the border areas.

He also said thrust must be accorded to strengthening the infrastructure development in border areas coupled with creation of employment generation.
Besides Saran, the other members of the NSAB included Lt Gen (retd) P C Bhardwaj, former Vice-Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen (retd) Prakash Menon, Military Adviser NSCS, P C Haldar and Chairman, Land Ports Authority of India, T Shahrawat.
Chief Secretary N K Das, Principal Secretary (Home & Political) Sailesh, Home Secretary G D Tripathi and other senior officials represented the state government, the sources said.
