Naval chief visits HP-based 9 Corps

The Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Sunil Lanba, today visited Himachal Pradesh-based 9 Corps also known as Rising Star Corps and patted troops on operational readiness.

Lanba visited the Rising Star Corps in Yol of HP where he was briefed on operational aspects by General Officer Commanding of the 9 Corps Lieutenant Gen S K Saini, a Defence Spokesman said.

The Naval Chief, thereafter, interacted with senior officers at the corps headquarters, he said.

He appreciated the operational readiness of the corps and emphasised on continuing to maintain highest vigil on the Western borders.

The Admiral was accompanied by his wife Reena Lanba, President of the Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA).
