8-month old falls into biogas tank, dies

An eight-month-old male child slipped into a biogas tank today and died in Odisha's Kendrapara district.

The baby had crawled to the tank pit in the backyard of his home at Derbish locality and fell into it. His movement had escaped the notice of his elders, police said.

The family members found him after an hour of frantic search and retrieved his lifeless body from the six feet deep tank, the police added.
