Nickel and tin advances on sustained demand

Nickel and tin prices advanced at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid sustained demand from alloy industries.

While, select copper and zinc slipped due to subdued demand from industrial users and alloy industries.

Nickel prices rose by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 810 from Thursday's close of Rs 795 and tin moved up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,370 as against Rs 1,365 yesterday.

However, zinc prices edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 193 as compared to Rs 195 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper wire bar and copper sheet cuttings softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 379, Rs 360, Rs 407 and Rs 355, respectively.
