Nickel, tin rise on sustained demand

Nickel, tin, zinc, select brass and copper prices rose further at the at the non-ferrous metals market here today on stockists buying amid sustained demand from alloy industries.

Tin shot-up by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 1,295 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,275.

Nickel gained by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 695 from Rs 690.

Zinc and brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 171 and Rs 268 from Rs 169 and Rs 266.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar edged-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 377 and Rs 405, respectively.
 

However, Copper sheet cutting and brass sheet cutting inched-down by a Re per kg each to Rs 359 and Rs 276.
