Nine awarded life sentence in Bihar

A district court today sentenced nine persons to life imprisonment in killing of five persons four years ago over an old dispute.

Additional District Judge S K Singh found the nine guilty and awarded them life imprisonment.

Those awarded lifer were accused of killing five persons inside a car near Kolhadih village in Bihar's Banka district in 2010.

The victims, who included a former mukhiya, were locked inside their car and burnt alive over an old dispute.

A case was registered with Baunsi police station in this regard.
