District Magistrate N P Singh today directed officers to implement the National Green Tribunal's norms at construction sites and also check vehicular pollution.
At a review meeting at the DM camp office here, he directed transport department officers to catch vehicles creating sound and air pollution, and police to ensure compliance of NGT norms by commercial vehicles.
Pollution board officers have been directed to ensure compliance in industries, Singh said.
Treatment plants should be functional at industries and they should not discharge waste into drains without treatment, the DM said.
