Noted aerial photographer Gopal Bodhe died today following a heart attack, family sources said. He was 66.
Bodhe, who is survived by wife Sudha and son Kaustubh, was on a shooting assignment in Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand when he suffered the heart attack.
The body will be flown here tomorrow and funeral will take place later in the day.
Describing Bodhe as "a top notch, yet humble professional", Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said, "While serving in the Indian Navy, he carved a niche for himself with his superb aerial portrayal of lighthouses, temples, forts and other subjects which he published in book form.
