A local court today asked the Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police to ensure execution of non-bailable arrest warrants issued by it against a Station House Officer for not providing evidence in the rape of a minor, pending in court since 2014.

Additional District and Session's Judge Rajesh Kumar had issued several summons but to no avail, following which non-bailable warrants of arrest of the SHO were also issued but the police did not execute the warrants.

Keeping in mind the gravity of the offence and attitude of the police, the judge today sent the NBW to the state DGP with directions to get the warrant executed and produce the SHO in court for his evidence so that the case could be decided early.

The case of a minor's rape is pending for evidence of the Investigating Officer, Anil Kumar Yadav, who was Station House Officer of Bewar. The High Court has issued orders for early disposal of the case.
