One naxalite held

A suspected naxalite was arrested

and a naxalite camp was destroyed during search operations at Bhalua forest in Bihar's Jamui district today.

Chandramandi police station in-charge Ajit Kumar said a search was conducted after information that few naxalites were camping in the forest area.

Police destroyed a camp after exchange of fire by both sides in the morning.

The naxalaties managed to flee and the police seized one walky-talky, one satellite phone and some naxalite literature from the spot.
