Over 63.12 lakh tonnes (LT) of wheat has arrived in various grain markets in Haryana so far during the current procurement season.
The government agencies have procured 63.09 LT of wheat whereas 2,229 tonnes of wheat have been purchased by traders, a Food and Supplies Department spokesman said here today.
He said HAFED has purchased highest 24.33 LT of wheat, followed by 17.53 LT purchased by the Food and Supplies Department.

"Similarly, Agro Industries Corporation has purchased 5.59 LT, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 6.20 LT, CONFED 1.57 LT and Food Corporation of India had procured 7.85 LT of wheat during current procurement season so far," he said.
He said district Sirsa was leading in the wheat arrival where 8.87 LT of wheat had arrived in the mandis, followed by Fatehabad with 6.84 LT.
The spokesman said farmers have been asked to bring dry and properly cleaned wheat in the mandis so that they might not face any difficulty while selling their produce.
