Pidilite Industries today said it has appointed Bharat Puri as Managing Director, effective from April 10, 2015.
Puri was the independent director of the company since 2008.
Prior to his appointment, he was the president for Global Chocolate, Gum and Candy Categories at Mondelez International, based in Zurich.
Pidilie Industries Chairman and Managing Director M B Parekh will step down from position of Managing Director on April 10, the company said in a statement.
It added that joint Managing Director N K Parekh will step down on April 1 and assume the post of Non-Executive Vice Chairman.

Alstom T&D India dispatches transformer from Vadodra factory * Alstom T&D India today announced that it has dispatched convertor transformer from its Vadodra facility in Gujarat.
"Alstom T&D India has flagged off the first 'Make in India' convertor transformer from its transformer facility at Vadodra in Gujarat," the company said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.
The convertor transformer is part of state-run Power Grid's transmission link that connects the power station of Central India near Champa (Madhya Pradesh) to the demand centre in Northern India at Kurukshetra (Haryana).
