Plastic tri-colour flags banned in Kerala

In a green initiative, Kerala government today banned production and distribution of plastic tri-colour flags for the Independence Day celebrations.

The general administration department in its circular made it clear that green protocol should be adhered to during the celebrations, an official release said.
