The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has ordered an inquiry against district president of BJP following a complaint that he misbehaved with his neighbour and other women.

District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar said that an inquiry has been initiated against BJP district president Raj Kumar Sharma.

Amit Sharma had lodged a complaint with PMO alleging that Raj Kumar Sharma misbehaved with him and some women on May 24 this year.

He alleged that even police sided with the BJP leader and detained him for several hours before releasing him on a personal bond.

Taking serious cognisance of the complaint, the PMO had asked UP Chief Minister and Chief Secretary to conduct an inquiry and submit a report at the earliest.

Under Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dhirendra Rao, directed the District Magistrate to conduct the inquiry.
