Police constable arrested in theft case in Punjab

A police constable here has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a theft case, a senior official said today.

Police has recovered over Rs one crore in cash, arms, and drugs from his house situated in Anand Nagar locality here, he said, adding that a case was registered against him at Tripuri police station tonight.

The senior police officer has confirmed the arrest and said further details will be informed in tomorrow's press briefing.
