Police lobs teargas shells to disperse clashing groups

Police lobbed teargas shells today to disperse two rival stone-pelting groups in Yakutpura, Panjrapole, Fatehpura, Kumbharvada and other areas in the walled city area here today.

Two motorbikes were also set on fire today.

Talking to PTI today, Police Commissioner J Patel said "police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

"More police forces have been deployed in troubled areas and security has been stepped up there," he said.

Yesterday, stone-pelting was reported from Kumbharvada and Fatehpura areas of the city. Later, it spread to other areas in the city today.
