Police here have formed special teams for probe after several cases of unidentified bike-borne duo attacking women from behind with a pointed object were reported in West Godavari district.
A senior police officer said in Hyderabad that four such incidents were reported yesterday, and two today.
Though the complainants described the weapons as "injections", the officer said they seem to be just stitching needles.
West Godavari district superintendent of police Bhaskar Bhushan said the incidents were reported from Nallajerlla and Undi areas. He also appealed the women not to panic.
