A high-tech cheating syndicate was busted today when over 90 candidates, appearing in postman and mail guard recruitment examination, were caught cheating using bluetooth devices concealed in their inner wear and connected to microphones and mobile phones, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, separate police teams raided four examination centres in the city where the high-tech cheating syndicate was operational. Ninety four candidates were arrested and most of them are from Haryana and Jaipur, Police Commissioner Sanjay Agarwal said.

He said 53 candidates, including three girls, were arrested from Jaipur south, 16 from Jaipur west and 25 candidates from Jaipur east.

Further investigation into the case will reveal the nexus of the gang, he added.

Director Postal Services Dushyant Mudgal said nearly 80,000 candidates had registered for the examination at 146 centres here.

There were 300 examination centres in Rajasthan, he added.
