Prem Prakash, Paul enter knockout phase

Coimbatore player Prem Prakash and Peter Paul of SRSA today ensured their berths in the knockout phase of the R Murugesh & Chintamani Memorial all-India Open snooker tournament 2017 underway in Erode.

Prem Prakash posted a 3-0 win over Suresh of Erode, his third straight victory, and topped Group "F".

Paul blanked Baskaran (TNBSA) and Kumar (Erode) to secure a place in the 48-player knockout round.

In Group "O", Saran Raj of Coimbatore won two matches while Kerala cueist Anoop beat Srinivasan 3-1 but lost his two other games 0-3.

The tournament is being organised by Erode District Billiards and Snooker Association.
