A prisoner, who was undergoing
six-year sentence in an attempt to murder case in Modern Jail here, has died.
The deceased was identified as Nachattar Singh, Jail Superintendent J P Singh said here.
Singh was suffering from asthma disease and was being treated for the same. On Friday morning, his condition got deteriorated and he was rushed to a hospital but he died on the way, he said.
A couple of days back, another prisoner identified as Deepak Kumar allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in a bathroom.
