A public hearing for the execution of a coal-based power project was conducted at NTPC Ramagundam in Karimnagar district today.
The first stage of the Telangana Super Thermal Power (TSTP) project is to be established in Ramagundam.
Public representatives and villagers have demanded establishment of two projects of 800 MW each.
They have demanded employment in the new projects to the project affected persons and also protection from pollution.
Karimnagar joint collector Pausumi Basu and top NTPC officials were present.
