Punjab Shiv Sena demands subsidy for Amarnath yatra

The Punjab Shiv Sena today demanded subsidy from the Modi government for the Amarnath pilgrimage in Jammu and Kashmir.
The outfit's vice president Rajesh Palta told reporters that Hindu pilgrims should be granted subsidy by the Centre for having "darshan" of the holy cave shrine of Amarnath similar to what Muslims are given the Haj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
"Such a subsidy was required for facilitating Shiv bhakts of all categories to have darshan of baba barfani," he said.

Palta also demanded that the Centre should ensure fool-proof security of Amarnath pilgrims.
"The security should be handed over to the Army," he said.
