Former Uttar Pradesh Minister R K Chaudhary today came back into BSP fold nearly 12 years after he parted ways with the party.

Chaudhary's return to the party was announced by BSP national general secretary Naseemuddin Siddiqui in the presence of the Leader of Opposition Swami Prasad Maurya.

The former minister while expressing gratitude towards BSP supremo Mayawati said that on her directive he was re-entering the party.

"I was out of the party for 11 years and eight months. On this occasion, when I am coming back to the party I take resolve to work for Lok Sabha polls so that a wave is created in favour of the party and it secures so many seats in UP that its supremo gets a chance to become the PM," Chaudhary said.

After parting ways with the BSP, Chaudhary formed Rashtriya Swabhiman Party and had extended support to the previous Samajwadi Party government in the state led by Mulayam Singh Yadav.

"He is an old missionary worker of the party," Maurya said.
