A CBI court today sentenced a senior railway official to two years of rigorous imprisonment in a disproportionate assets case.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 on S K Srivastav, Chief Engineer of Southern Railways.
The CBI's Anti-Corruption Bureau had filed a case against Srivastav in 2006 for "abusing his official position" to acquire assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, the agency said in a release here.
