Revolutionary Marxist Party leader today met Kerala Governor P Sathasivam and submitted a memorandum citing their apprehension on premature release of some accused convicted in the T P Chandrasekharan murder case.
The leaders included K K Rema, widow of Chandrasekharan.
The memorandum has been forwarded to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for appropriate consideration, a Raj Bhavan release said.
According to the RMP, the state government had a proposal to release CPI(M) leader P K Kunhanandan, who is serving a life-term after being convicted in the murder case, on the ground that he was aged above 70.
