An armed robbery was foiled at a factory in Surajpur area here after the guards opened fire and caught hold of one of the six robbers, police said today.
The alleged robber was later handed over to police.
A gang of six robbers struck at a factory, which has been lying closed for past few years, late last night, according to police.
Guards Arvind Kumar and Sutan Ajay challenged the robbers and opened fire at them, police said.
The guards caughthold of one of the robbers identified as Arif, who suffered a bullet wound, and was later handed over to police.
Arif was admitted to a hospital in Delhi, they said, adding efforts were underway to arrest the other accused.
