Rs 8 lakh looted from ATM

A sum of around Rs 8 lakh was looted from the ATM of a private bank near the National Highway at Soro in Odisha's Balasore district, police said today.

The thieves used cutter machines to break open the ICICI Bank ATM last night and decamped with the cash in it, police said.

An FIR has been lodged by the bank authority with the police in this regard, Soro police inspector in-charge Kartik Chandra Mallik said.
