Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today called on Union Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy and discussed skill development initiatives being implemented in the state.
They also deliberated upon taking up new measures to skill the youth of Assam.
A driver training institute, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras and international skill centres will come up across Assam, in line with the initiatives planned by the Centre.

"Discussions with CM @sarbanandsonwal on skilling in Assam. Over 6500 youths have been trained so far, huge potential 2 b tapped (sic)," Rudy tweeted on the meeting.
The government has a special focus on states in the north-east including Assam to boost skill development in the country so enhance their employment potential.
