The Shiromani Akali Dal core committee today met to discuss in detail preparations for the civic elections due in Punjab sometime towards the end of next month.
The one-point agenda for the meeting focused on the likely issues on which it will go to the people, a party spokesman said.
Detailed district-wise reports about development and other achievements of the government were discussed in the meeting, he said.
The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. P
Party chief and Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal spelt out the outlines of the poll strategy for the SAD-BJP alliance partners.
The party would announce its list of observers for different zones after it is cleared by Sukhbir Badal tomorrow, he said.
