Kerala-based South Indian Bank today announced the appointment of Salim Gangadharan, currently an Independent Director with the bank, as non-executive part-time Chairman with effect from November 2.
The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Gangadharan and he would be replacing Amitabha Guha whose term is expiring tomorrow, a bank release said.
Gangadharan has been appointed Chairman for a period of three years, it added.
