School employees robbed off Rs. 5 lakh

Unidentified men today looted Rs. Five lakh from employees of a government girls' school near a village in Bihar's East Champaran district, a police officer said.

Two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched a bag containing Rs. Five lakh from Rajendra Prasad (Clerk) and Pashupati Nath Sharma (Peon) of Ramlal Sonalal Project Girls' Intermediate School Dhankharaiya village while returning to school on another bike with the cash, Harsidhi police station in-charge Jaiprakash Prasad said.

The school employees duo had withdrawn the amount from the SBI for disbursal among the students as scholarship, he said.

A case has been registered in this connection and raids were on to net the culprits, the police officer said.
