School girl dies in accident

A girl student of class VIII was killed today when she was run over by a speeding lorry at Falakata in Jalpaiguri district.

The police said Pinky Roy died on the spot after being hit by the lorry when she was going to school.

Angry locals blocked the Jalpaiguri-Jateswar Road for an hour citing rash driving by the truck drivers and frequent accidents on the stretch of the road.
