School principal among 2 held for paper leak

Two persons, including the Principal of a government school in Indore, were arrested today in connection with the leak of two question papers of Class 10 board exams.

The other arrested person is the director of a private school here.

Uday Waghmare, Principal of Ratankehdi Government School, and Pavan Bagadia, the private school director, were apprehended after following leads gathered in the case, said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) A Yadav.

The Principal had been selling question papers through Bagadia for quite sometime. On March 20, he sold the social science paper of Class 10 and on March 23, the chemistry paper, for Rs 50,000 each, he said.
 

The leak came to light when the social science paper was received on the mobile phone of a student through WhatsApp application just before the examination. He immediately informed the authorities, who alerted the police.

On the basis of leads, police arrested Waghmare and Bagadia, Yadav said, adding further probe was on.
