Security guard shot dead by colleague in Meerut

A security guard at a rock crusher plant here was shot dead allegedly by his colleague following a heated argument over some issue, police said today.

Vijayveer (40), was allegedly killed late last night in Jangethi village under Incholi police station area by one of his colleagues, a police spokesperson said.

The victim was in conversation with the fellow guards, Rajpal and Harendra, he said, adding that it soon turned into an argument.

In a matter of time, one of them shot at the victim with his double-barrelled gun, leading to his death on the spot, he said.

A case has been registered against Rajpal and Harendra on the complaint of the relatives, police said, adding that both of them are absconding.
 

The post-mortem has been conducted and a search for the accused is on.
