Meanwhile, brass utensils scrap and aluminium ingots gained on good offtake from alloy industries.
The industrial metals was tad firmer in early trade at LME, after a weak jobs report on Friday soothed concerns that the United States would soon begin to draw back liquidity that has cushioned metals demand.
Nickel declined by Rs 5 per kg to RS 1,240 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,245.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and lead softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 497, Rs 525, Rs 468 and Rs 142, respectively.
However, aluminium ingots climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 172 from Rs 169.
Brass utensils scrap inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 340.
