Select copper prices recovered marginally in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today on buying by stockists amid mild industrial demand.

While, zinc slipped further owing to subdued demand from consuming industries.

On global front, the industrial metal copper maintained its weak trend as the dollar rose on heightened expectations that the US Federal Reserve could raise interest rates in September amid a bearish backdrop for China demand.

Copper utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 358 from Tuesday's close of Rs 356 and copper sheet cutting inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 371.

However, zinc moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 163 as compared to Rs 165 yesterday.
