Select metals rebound on renewed demand, tin spurts

Tin prices rebounded smartly at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to renewed demand from stockists and industrials users as well.

Elsewhere, brass, zinc and copper scrap heavy also moved up on better offtake by consuming industries.

Meanwhile, copper armature copper sheets cutting eased owing to lack of buying support.

On the global front, industrial metals traded weak amid caution with copper sliding to seven-month low ahead to key economic data from China.

Tin rose by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,490 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,480.

Brass utensils scrap and brass sheets cutting both edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 327 and Rs 339 as against Rs 325 and Rs 337.
 

Zinc and copper scrap heavy inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 185 and Rs 472.

However, copper armature and copper sheets cutting softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 449 and Rs 447, respectively.
