Select pulses down on sluggish demand

Select pulses, led by rajmah, turned weak and ended lower at the wholesale pulses market today on stockists selling against sluggish demand at prevailing levels.

Marketmen said sluggish demand against adequate stocks position mainly weighed on rajmah chitra and other pulses.

In the national capital, rajmah chitra tumbled to Rs 5,000-8,500 from previous level of Rs 6,300-9,300 per quintal.

Moth eased to Rs 4,200-4,500 against last close of Rs 4,550-4,950,while arhar and its dal prices traded lower to Rs 4,100-4,250 and Rs 5,400-5,700 as compared to previous level of Rs 4,400-4,500 and Rs 5,900-6,100 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small and bold also declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,150-5,350 and Rs 5,150-5,450 and its dal local and best quality enquired lower by the same margin to Rs 5,900-6,000 and Rs 6,000-6,100 per quintal, respectively.
 

In line with a general weak trend, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,750-3,450, Rs 3,500-3,700 and Rs 3,600-3,700 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates per quintal:

Urad 5,150-5,650, Urad Chilka (local) 6,350-6,550, best 6,600-7,200, Dhoya 6,850-7,250, Moong 5,850-7,150, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,950-7,450, Moong Dhoya local 6,850-7,150 and best quality 7,650-7,750.

Masoor small 5,150-5,350, bold 5,150-5,450, Dal Masoor local 5,900-6,000, best quality 6,000-6,100, Malka local 5,600-5,900, best 5,800-5,900, Moth 4,200-4,500, Arhar 4,100-4,250, Dal Arhar Dara 5,400-5,700.

Gram 2,750-3,450, Gram Dal (local) 3,500-3,700, best quality 3,600-3,700, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,360, Rajdhani 1,360, Rajmah Chitra 5,000-8,500,Kabli Gram small 3,800-6,400, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,200-5,800, Peas white 2,950-3,000 and green 3,000-3,100.
