Services on Palakkad-Pollachi new BG track commences

The newly converted broad guage line between Palakkad and Pollachi section became operational today with a special train being run from Palakkad to Tiruchendur.

The special train no. 06769 Palakkad Town-Pollachi Palani-Tiruchendur passenger was flagged off from Palakkad Town station by the Station Master at 04.30 am without any formal function, a railway release said.

The train reached Tiruchendur at 4 pm.

Besides this, trains special trains would also be operated between Pollachi and Tiruchirappalli, the release said.
