Silver prices rose 0.74 per cent to Rs 37,004 per kg in futures trade today after traders raised their bets largely in tune with a firming trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 273, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 37,004 per kg, in a business turnover of 289 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month July rose by Rs 265, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 37,450 per kg in two lots.

In the international market, silver gained 0.16 per cent to USD 15.24 an ounce in New York in yesterday's trade.
Market analysts said a firming trend in the global market, mainly attributed the rise in silver futures.
