Small sugar falls on weak demand

Small sugar fell in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi wholesale market here today on weak demand from stockist and bulk consumers amid adequate stock positions.

While, medium sugar ruled steady in the absence of any major buying.

Small sugar (S-30) dropped by a Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 3,023/3,142 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,023/ 3,162.

Medium sugar (M-30) closed unchanged at its previous level of Rs 3,152/3,292.
