Small sugar prices recovered marginally at the Vashi wholesale market here today renewed offtake from stockist and bulk consumers.
While, Medium variety slipped due to subdued demand stockists and retailers amid ample supplies.
Small sugar(M-30) inched-up by a Re per quintal to Rs 3,076/3,191 quintal from last Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,076/3,190.
However, small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,210/3,342 as against Rs 3,210/3,352 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,210/3,342 (Rs 3,210/3,352).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,076/3,191 (Rs 3,076/3,190).
