Social worker dead

Social worker and

inductrialist Anil Kumar Lahiri died in Kolkata in the early hours today.

Lahiri(80) was the managing committee president of Purulia Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith and Ramakrishna Mission Ashram of Ramharipur in Bankura district and was involved in a number of philanthropic activities.

He was an industrailist in the Asansol-Durgapur area.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

The vice-president of Ramakrishan Math and Mission Swami Prabhananda was among those who condoled the death.
