Son kills mother

A 30-year-old man allegedly killed

his mother in their house at Birshibpur in this district, police said today.

The unemployed man killed his widowed mother with sharp weapon last night and fled the house after locking the room and main gate of the building.

Locals spotted blood flow in the drain and informed police who recovered the body.

The man, hiding in the village, was arrested.

Police was investigating the cause of the killing.
